This project has been a labor of love and hours, hours, and nights and nights of YouTube and rabbit hole diving in user forum threads troubleshooting. I love designs, good functional designs (because my jobs have always relied on hand-on tools of some kind, performing and helping, or failing and frustrating the job I have at hand). It was made with much thoughts and care from the point of view of a user.
Anyway, without further ado … (if you’re curious about my story, you can learn more in Origin)
Notes on Printing

The 2021 Year Atlas was designed as a yearly wall planner x calendar, size 36″ x 48″ horizontal / landscape … But
A 36″ x 48″, OR a smaller but still wall poster size print would allow:
- Easy marking / annotating of each day, using color markers, which could correlate to a specific goal, so you could track the days that you did work on your goals
- At 36″ x 48″ also, above each “slice” of month is a “bucket” space that’s very useable for writing of notes, specific to that month. These “buckets” mimic the deskpad style calendar’s notes section at the bottom or the side of each sheet of month for you to write on
- Also, the 36″ x 48″ size is designed to visually dominate—really make it POP and be in-your-face type of front-of-mind! 🙂
I printed a 36″ x 48″ copy using Vistaprint, the cheapest large size poster printer I could find online. Cost was $33.90 for 36×48, Horizontal, Semi-gloss stock + 8.99 S/H. I did a holiday promo (they run promos year-round) and ended up with a final cost of $39.32 tax included.
The copy I received was well printed and the stock was sufficiently thick to hang on a wall. Marking and writing with color markers were also acceptable.
Note: I’m not affiliated with Vistaprint. You might know other equally, if not more capable local (or online) printers that can print large size posters.
Smaller sizes
Out of curiosity, and also since I use Bullet Journal (in a size A5 notebook… and I love Bullet Journal–but that’s another story) as my day-to-day task execution and organizing system, I test printed the same PDF in Letter Size and Tabloid Size Color Laser at FedEx Office.
It cost me $2.31. Both color copies came out fine. No distortion. PDF is fully scalable vector.
At these smaller sizes, the Year Atlas could be folded. It can be used as a calendar insert like one would find for appointment books. It is smaller to write on and mark, but the core goal planning functions can still be done, using maybe a notebook to write out longer notes.
Open Use

Left Open Space
Possible use: vision board, motivation board, whiteboard for stickies–project management style (hello, stickies) .. or whatever you can dream up

Ring of Open Space
The sectioned air space (12 “buckets” above 12 months, taken together) circles around the entire year.
This opens up to uses that cross months. Experiment. Personalize.
Put in your own “add-ons” to make the Year Atlas work even better for you!
